Sonja Yurkiw is Concord’s chief operating officer and general counsel. Sonja holds a Bachelors-Degree from Arizona State University, magna cum laude, and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Gonzaga University, School of Law, cum laude. She has focused her legal practice in the areas of civil, commercial, business, and debt collection litigation and served as a substitute professor of law for Phoenix International School of Law, teaching Federal Civil Procedure. Sonja is a frequent lecturer and has authored white papers in the areas of Arizona lien law, workers’ compensation, state and federal civil procedure, insurance, bankruptcy, and collections. She is a member of the Arizona State Bar, the Association of Corporate Counsel, and the American Collectors Association. Sonja has been admitted to practice law in the state of Arizona and has argued cases in federal court, state superior court, the Ninth Circuit, and the Arizona Supreme Court. During her career at Concord, Sonja has served in several leadership positions in the areas of collections, business analysis, project management, quality assurance, and corporate training.
